TVs were invented in 1928 by Philo Farnsworth. Early TVs had small black and white screens but technology improved over time, with the introduction of color TVs, remote controls, and flat screen TVs. While TVs provide entertainment and a way to stay informed, they are not essential and overwatching TV can be unhealthy, turning people into "couch potatoes." Before TVs existed, people entertained themselves with activities like listening to the radio.
2. What need do they fill?
TVs are very helpful for watching the news,
or watching cartoons. Some people watch
TV like they drink water, but some people
control their TV watching.
TVs can fill in for bikes on rainy days. They
are very helpful yet, they can be used too
much. TVs can provide lots of
entertainment. The shows you can watch
are sometimes addicting. It is not very good
to come home from work or school and
watch TV for the rest of the day.

from how it is now?
Yes, the TV could be improved. It

Right now we only have flat screen

use to go onto the internet.

The first TV was very small, with a
small screen. It also had black and

After color TV with remotes we
now have flat screen TVs. I think in
the future there will be a touch screen
TV just like my iPad.

life?
Not necessarily. People could live
without the TV if they didn’t need to

need to watch cartoons or other weird
shows. The TV is a luxury. It is not a
need in daily life. So don’t watch TV
too much! You do not need TV!
