  • 1. Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, (aka Felix Mendelssohn) 1809 - 1847
  • 2. Mendelssohn, a composer and conductor, was born in Hamburg, Germany.
  • 3. Mendelssohn is often regarded asthe greatest musical child prodigy after Mozart. Mendelssohn wrote 12 string symphonies between the ages of 12 and 14.
  • 4. Mendelssohn’s "WeddingMarch" is one of the best knownof the pieces that he wrote for AMidsummer Night’s Dream. It isone of the most played wedding marches.
