2. Shannon Gunn – Lust, Underage Sex, acts of adultery and
sexually provocative – Jack despises Shannon for her worldly
sins. Jack’s second victim.
Sophie Griffin – Blasphemous – Offends Jack the most, Jack’s
third victim and most gruesome murder.
Rachael Forrest – Vainglory – Over boasting and high levels of
pride, thinks that she’s better than the others. Jacks fourth
victim.
Sasha Cimino– Envy - Envied Shannon, wanted Shannon's
world, and despite Shannon's death earlier on, she isn't
considerate of her, openly admits that she’s happier now that
she wasn't around. Jack’s fifth victim.
Martin Bobb-Semple –Wrath- his hatred of Jodie, and tussle
with Jack angers the killer into murdering him.
Joe Fines - after several disappearances, he finally understands
Chloe’s cries, and works with her to defeat Jack.
Chloe Abrams – Final girl, defeats Jack.
3. After witnessing the traumatic death of both his
parents, a then 6 year old Jack is found asleep on the
street by a group of women who take him back to a
monastery. After 2 years at the monastery he is
fostered by Phillip and May Grimshaw.
As he grew into his teenage years, the pain of his
departed parents grew larger. A suicidal Jack is then
sent to a therapist by his foster parents in order to help
him climb out of his depression; Jack with nothing to
lose is advised by the psychiatrists to pay a visit to the
women at the monastery and look deeper into
Christianity as this is something he seems to be quite
interested in.
4. Jack starts to pay several weekly visits to the monastery
which helps with his depression. Meanwhile his interest
in religion steadily grows. The Grimshaw's decide to move
away from Berkshire (the place where Jack grew up and
lost his parents) and into the big city of London for a
fresh start. At his request, Jack transfers to the St
Bernard's Catholic Grammar school due to it being a
catholic school, in order to continue his education, and
growth in faith.
During his first few days at the school, jack realises that
the school isn't as holy as he expected it to be. He
instantly believes that the place is dripping in sin with
pupils behaving inappropriately and sinfully.
5. Jack decides that it is his responsibility to rid the
school of sin. This provokes a killing spree from the
deeply disturbed and deeply religious Jack.
Typical of a slasher we see teenage characters being
dispatched one by one by Jack.
Jack will wear a cloak-like costume that is reminiscent
of that worn by the grim reaper.
6. Innocent, naive, intelligent and resourceful. She doesn't
have many friends at the school, and would prefer to be
alone rather than to associate and socialise with the rest.
Isn't acknowledged or noticed by the popular students.
Singled out for her weird dress sense, music taste and
her “1990’s” fringe, she is ignored by the popular girls
and simply missed by the popular boys.
She has a bad ‘gut’ feeling about Jack Grimshaw the
second she makes eye contact with him and is first to
notice and discover that he is responsible for the missing
students. Attempts to tell the others about Jack but
nobody listens as she is labelled the “weird kid”. Been a
pupil at St Bernard's since year seven yet many pupils
don't know her name.
7. After four students go missing, her cry starts to get
noticed by another student named Devante and they
team up in an attempt to stop Jack.
Jack soon finds out about her plans to stop his
“cleansing” and decides to eradicate the final girl in
order to finally be able to stop what he had started.
The final show down ends in a bloody mess in which
the final girl standing victorious over Jack’s ruined
body.
8. The movie is set in a
school, due to most of
Jacks
9. Silas is a fictional antagonist
character in the 2006 movie
‘The Da Vinci Code’, he is an
albino monk of catholic faith,
who practices sever corporal
mortification. We wanted
Jack to replicate Silas due to it
not being a formality in
slasher movies, instead of
making the killer a
delusional/mentally unstable
character, we decided to make
him one that is highly
religious, but one that loses
his mind when he realises
that the real world isn't what
its suppose to be. We took
Silas’ character made him
extreme.
10. Other inspiration would be the Grim Reaper and Catholic
Monks. We got the name Jack GRIMshaw from the GRIM
Reaper. Just like the grim reaper, Jack wears a black cloak
with a hood and causes the death of his victims. Jack gains
this ‘Angel of Death’ persona through his heavy religious
beliefs and also his own, as he does believe that he is doing
good in ridding the school of sin, but in also in the gory way
he kills his victims. Catholic Monks would also be a source
of inspiration as Jack got his monk costume from when he
was younger and living with nuns at the monastery. His
strong religious beliefs would replicate those at St
Pachomios.
