    • Attacking Hunger By Melissa Campbell
    •  Providing food for hungry people.  Striving to end hunger in our community. • Providing education to the citizens of Cook County on the prevention of hunger.  Uphold the GCFD mission by instituting many new programs and initiatives
    •  Community  Monthly Seminars (USDA)
    •  Addition of a small museum on site at the GCFD that includes:  Volunteer Pictures  History of GCFD  Description of Volunteer Duties  Interactive Media  Hungry 101  Nutrition Quizzes  Farm Tech
    •  Elementary School Visits  Nourish for Knowledge
    •  Videotaped testimonials with a thank you from recipients about how the provisions from the GCFD or its agencies have prevented them from going hungry.
    •  Nutrition Education  High Schools  Colleges  Churches  Sororities  Clubs  Libraries  Agency Visits  Volunteers
    •  Teaching people to properly store food and/or stretch their food.  Canning  Freezing  Preserving  Storing  Portioning
    •  Added Value  Leadership  Helping Each Other  Community Recognition
