Successful Club Meetings
Have an agenda
Involve manual projects for communications (speeches) and leadership
Include thoughtful, insightful, and supportive evaluations
Have everybody participating
Start and stop on time
Have guests introduced and treated with interest, inducted respectfully
Are a very SAFE environment for experimentation and learning
Are fun and leave attendees with a feeling of satisfaction and time well spent
Successful Club Meetings are a function of Club Leadership
Successful Club Leaders
Plan ahead
Set goals (Manual completions, Membership, Officer Training, Dues/Lists)
Communicate their vision
Do what they said they would do
Attend officer training
Successful Club Presidents (In addition to the above)
Lead by example
Expect Quality Club Meetings
Are driven to excel and foster teamwork
Exude enthusiasm, confidence, optimism, and commitment
Conduct regular officer/team meetings that focus on
Meeting quality and variation
Member education
Membership retention and attracting new members
Public Relations
Financials/Budget
Administrative functions on the clock (see below)
Identify and appropriately address problems, including escalating above the club for help
Administrative Functions
Meeting location and time (Sergeant at Arms)
Paying dues on time (Treasurer, Secretary)
Conducting speech contests
Representing the club above the club (along with VP Education) (CADDRI)
Conducting annual audits (Treasurer)
Forming Nominating committee (Immediate Past President)
Identifying and Training your Successor
