Dear Encik Zulkifli,
Resignation from the Post of Accounts Clerk
I am writing to tender my resignation from the above mentioned position with our firm
effective from 15 May 2004. As stated in the conditions of my contract, one month’s
notice is required and I shall therefore be leaving the company on 15 June 2004.
2. It has been a pleasure working for your firm. In the one and a half years that I was
here, I have learnt a great deal about accounting systems. Thank you for all the advice
and guidance provided by you and the other members of the staff. What I appreciate
most is a working environment in which we are allowed to fail and we are given
opportunities to learn from our mistakes. It has been a positive and invaluable
experience working for your firm.
3. I would like to continue working here but I regret to say that I have resign to further
my studies. During the time I was working here, I took up LCCI Diploma in Accounting

2. on a part-time basis at Federal Commercial Institute. I am glad to say I have passed with
flying colors, mainly due to the practical experience gained from working in your firm and
from the help rendered by your staff. I would be furthering my studies in Management
Accounting in Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC), Kuala Lumpur starting from July
2004.
4. I would appreciate it very much if you could write a testimonial for me. Your
certification of my working experience in your firm would count a lot when I seek
employment after I graduate from Tunku Abdul Rahman College. It would also put me at
an advantage when I submit my application to auditing firms for my practical attachment
in my final year.
