We have 15 school days remaining so you will have 15 entries as well as one entry per week (3 in 
total) will be edited and rewritten in handwriting to be placed in your data portfolio.

With Teacher- My time with you will be to conference and support you with your writing. We will also 
practice skills to writing a proper paragraph. 
Blogging- What Christmas traditions take place in your home? Why are they meaningful to you and 
your family? 
Leisure / Independent Reading – Christmas Traditions reading and coloring book. 
Word Work- Spelling lesson #10 
Writing – complete your persuasive paragraph (Due this Tuesday) – work on your research & 5 
paragraph essay on your Canadian Hero Due December 17th. 
This is a major essay. You will display your paragraph skills, summarizing main idea, and supporting 
details. 
Outcome: CC5.4 
Use a writing process to experiment with and produce multi-paragraph narrative (including stories that contain dialogue), 
expository (including reports, explanations, letters, and requests), and persuasive (including letters) compositions that 
clearly develop topic and provide transitions for the reader.

a. Write clear multi-paragraph compositions (e.g., three to five paragraph report or essay of at least 300 words) that 
focus on a central idea, reflect awareness of the audience(s) and purpose(s), contain clear introductions and 
conclusions, and include paragraphs in a logical sequence. 
b. Write expository compositions that establish a topic, include important ideas or events in a logical order, provide 
details and transitional expressions that clearly link one paragraph to another, and offer a concluding paragraph that 
summarizes important ideas. 
Social Studies: You will have the opportunity to show and tell your confederation project. We will 
complete the power point. You will have a Social Test on Monday, December 
8th. Please study a bit each night as it is a lot of information.
