2. What is Small intestine cancer
Whenever cancerous cells develop in the tissues of the small intestine, it is known as
small intestine cancer. It is a very rare disease.
Small intestine cancer are chiefly of 4 types namely:
Adenocarcinoma: it starts in the glandular cells found in the inner lining of small
intestine near the stomach. They can block the intestine by growing.
Sarcoma: it starts in the smooth muscle cells of the small intestine near the large
intestine.
Carcinoid: it begins in the hormone producing cells of the small bowel near ileum or
appendix
Lymphoma: it begins in the lymph tissues near jejunum.
