About
I'm a hiker, climber, dancer and science geek for hire, in beautiful Boulder CO
I've got my PhD in Physics but don't really do "real" physics anymore -- I use my degree to let me do cool fun stuff. I had a postdoc at the Exploratorium museum of science, and am now working in Carl Wieman's Science Education Initiative, trying to improve the education of physics majors at the university.
My rough timeline was BA in Psychology (Bard College), 2 years futzing around in SF, 2 years in Peace Corps in West Africa, 6 years in PhD program in Physics in Santa Cruz (during which I did an internship at NPR in DC), 2 years at Exploratorium in San Francisco, and now I'm in Boulder at the physics
