It is celebrated in the week leading up to Easter

They are going to the city streets to have a bunch of processions.
7. What are brotherhoods and what is their purpose?
Catholic laypersons organized for the purpose of performing public acts of religious
observance. They do the day-to-day work in preparation for the processions, also
undertake many other self-regulated religious activities, and charitable and community
work.
8. What happens during Semana Santa?
Members precede the pasos dressed in penitential robes, and, with few exceptions,
hoods.
9. Who are Nazarenos and how are they dressed?
They are dressed in a habit and with the distinctive pointed hood, they and holding long
wax candles.

The March, The paso, The Music, The Crowd, and the La Carrera Oficia
11. What is a Paso?
An image or set of images set atop a movable float of wood.

a sculpted scene of the Passion, or an allegorical scene, known as a misterio (mystery);
the second is an image of Christ; and the third an image of the suffering Blessed Virgin

La Mantilla for the women and the men wear a dark suit, black necktie and shoes.

They are mostly in silence. They behave normally.

This is something that the spanish people take very serious. They all seem very happy
to be part of this ceremony. To me, it seems that easter is an very important holiday is
spain.
