2. Diagnose the case... Durkheim is suffering from amnesia and is having trouble remembering his theory of suicide. He has been given the case of 4 soldiers and your task is to aid the great sociologist and ‘diagnose’ which of the suicides fit with his 4 types of suicide and give reasons as to why you think this. Hopefully your excellent knowledge will aide his memory.

5. Balloon debate In your pairs you will have 15 minutes to plan your debate to persuade me not to throw you out of the balloon. The pair to win will be the ones who can convince me that their theory has made the most contribution to the study of suicide.
