In a variety of ways Christianity can be seen as a kind of paradox. And its consequences to the souls of men are best embodied by people like St. Lawrence, a martyred Deacon who told his captors to "turn him over" because they smoked him living. In many ways Christianity can be seen like a kind of paradox. And its particular results on the
spirits of men are best embodied by people like St. Lawrence, a martyred Deacon who informed
his captors to "turn him over" while they prepared him alive. Christianity is obviously best
described when its loyal users have internalized their beliefs towards the amount that they can
mock the world and the peace it includes.
Remember our record. Your early customers were those types of conference lions in the
Colosseum provided only with belief. And our current versions collide daily using a culture that
inundates us with all that is antithetical to the values. We are called close-minded, and our
personal government often attempts to stop us from practicing our faith. However our Bishops
carry us forward, back into the Colosseum, where we again face those who oppose our morals.
These members of early church, who "walked by trust and not by picture," had only the light of
faith to illuminate their means. Which of the apostles on Good Friday believed the fame that was
in the future on Easter Sunday? Did our martyrs go-to their death realizing the deep effect of the
watch? But God can be a type of master chess player, bringing order from turmoil and love from
violence. Think about the Roman soldiers who tortured Jesus on his path to Calvary. God uses
even the most crazy of men to create peace for the world. With our trust there is always
assurance; there is always hope.
And even though our religion may be a type of paradox, its facts are also seen rather plainly in
each person's path to holiness. That is why we realize and consider Jesus when He tells us "[His]
yoke is simple, and [Their] burden light." Perhaps under the apparently hefty stress of the corner,
we however find sleep in our encounter with all the Master. Around the heels of Holy Week, it's
pertinent to express that people are typical Simon of Cyrene, helping Christ bring Their cross
once we ourselves all undertaking to Calvary. And we are all Mary Magdalene, acquiring inside
the empty tomb that Jesus is risen and experiencing daily the sacramental graces flowing out of
this truth.
Thus we enter Easter period swimming upstream in the world's several currents. Amidst our
challenges we spot the currently light-weight of the combination, that has been overcome. In living
out our belief we like St. Lawrence mock the entire world while enjoying the peace that God gives
us. We hold fast to your trust experienced so powerfully during Holy Week. And we move forward
like a Cathedral of resurrection with trust in our God. As it turns out Jesus was proper. His yoke is
easy and His burden is light.
