3. What is the Texas STaR Chart?
 The Texas STaR Chart was designed around the four
keys areas of the Long-Range Plan for Technology.
 Teachers, campus leaders, and other educational
professionals can use the results of the STaR Chart to
assess the following areas on their campuses:

 Education Preparation
 Administration and Support
 Infrastructure

Improvement
 Concentrate on applying
technology learned in
trainings to the classroom.
 Administrators should
encourage the use of
technology and give
teachers time to reflect.
 Teachers should
participate in professional
development through
action research or a book
study about technology
they want to use in their
classrooms.

8. Summary
 Fairmont Elementary is
currently leading the state
average in 2 areas of the
LRPT.
 We need to continue to work
towards using technology
everyday with our students in
our classrooms.
 Infrastructure of technology
is a strong area for our
campus, and we should
capitalize on our resources
that are made available to us.
