- 1. The Power of Outsider Poetry Outsider Poetry is a dying art form. This is certainly unfortunate because beautifully constructed wording has the ability to show someone's true nature through sometimes coded and often beautiful words. The same can be achieved with hype writing, but there's something more pure about poetry. Good poetry flows naturally and brings the visitor into the poet's head.
