My storyboard for my A2 Film Studies creative project, this is preparation for my short film.

Mise en scene: The exterior of Bethany’s house.
Cinematography: Long (establishing) shot, camera moves closer towards the house.
Sound: Ambient diegetic sounds such as birds, cars ,wind etc.
Editing: Title screened and cut.

2. Micro Features
Timing: 4 Seconds
Mise en scene: Average looking teenage bedroom: posters, books, bed, clothes etc.
Bethany is sat at the edge of her bed head in hands.
Cinematography: Camera moves around the room. Pan.
Sound: Non diegetic sad music faint in background
Editing: Cut.

3. Micro Features
Timing: 20 Seconds
Mise en scene: Bethany sat at the edge of her bed wearing a black hoodie. Posters
in background.
Cinematography: Mid shot
Sound: Speech (beginning of monologue) “ I’m glad I’ve done it…Charlotte and I
were once best friends.”(looks at screen play for full speech) Non diegetic music
continues.
Editing: Fade

4. Micro Features
Timing: 9 Seconds
Mise en scene: Bethany and Charlotte are in a boutique surrounded by dresses.
Charlotte shows off her dress and Bethany admires whilst looking at other dresses.
Cinematography: Stationary long shot.
Sound: Happy non diegetic music played quietly in the background. Voice over of
Bethany: “I remember now we’d do everything together. Our favourite thing to do
was to try on dresses giddy with excitement for prom.”

Mise en scene: Charlotte pushes the blue dress into Bethany’s arms whilst she
admires other dresses.

Charlotte… She definitely wore red in the end I can tell you that!” Non diegetic

in.

Mise en scene: Street full of houses, Bethany walks down holding books and folders
when Charlotte and friends walk towards her and knock her books out her hand.

out crying seeking help, however her mum waves her away as she is busy.

Mise en scene: Bethany is in the corner crying make up down her face.
Cinematography: High angle when she is in the corner and then as she rises the low

Mise en scene: Bethany hides against a wall as she waits for Charlotte to walk home
from college. Charlotte is at the end of the alley walking down. Bethany hides a
knife behind her back.

should of seen her face covered in egg.” followed by laughing.

Mise en scene: As Charlotte leaves the alley and turns right down the tennefoot,
Bethany sneaks up behind her puts her hand over her mouth and a knife to her
neck.
Cinematography: Long shot tracks Bethany’s movement.
Sound: Non diegetic music climaxes. Charlotte begins a muffled scream.

Timing: 1 Seconds
Mise en scene: Charlotte’s eyes are wide and she drops her phone in shock. Knife
slowly moves across her neck as blood appears.

Sound: Non diegetic music continues to increase in volume and tempo etc. Diegetic:
Charlottes muffled scream.

Mise en scene: Charlotte’s phone drops to the floor.

Sound: Music continues accompanied by a loud slow drum sound as the phone
crashes the floor.

Mise en scene: Bethany pushes Charlotte to floor as she holds her neck.
Cinematography: Long shot from the back of Bethany.
Sound: Non diegetic music continues. Diegetic: Charlotte choking.

Mise en scene: Charlotte continues to choke until she dies.

walking towards it smiling to herself.

Mise en scene: Bethany stood in her bed room her eyes flash around wildly before
making a sigh of relief and closing her eyes smiling.

Mise en scene: Charlotte sat in a prison cell laughing to herself hysterically.

further away from Bethany before a police officer shut the door on her and the
audience.
