  3. 3. Why? ....It depends on <ul><li>The individual Coachee </li></ul><ul><li>The desired Outcome </li></ul><ul><li>Skills of the Coach </li></ul>
  4. 4. Coaching does work <ul><li>There is now a wealth of research data to demonstrate this </li></ul><ul><li>There has been a massive growth in the coaching market </li></ul><ul><li>Even the likes of Oprah and Jack Canfield have their own coach </li></ul>
  5. 5. What’s good about Coaching <ul><li>It focuses on the future and what’s possible </li></ul><ul><li>Increase a persons awareness of what they are capable of </li></ul><ul><li>Builds confidence and self belief </li></ul><ul><li>Inspires people </li></ul>
  6. 6. What is Coaching? <ul><li>A Definition </li></ul><ul><li>There are many and some seem misleading </li></ul><ul><li>as they talk about training and mentoring. I like this one “Coaching is about the coach working with the coachee to deliver possibilities unheard of alone” </li></ul>
  7. 7. How does a Coachee realise what’s possible <ul><li>The coach and coachee build a relationship </li></ul><ul><li>As a result the coachee realises that the obstacles they see in their path to success have been put there by themselves. In their own head </li></ul>
  8. 8. How does a Coachee realise what’s possible <ul><li>By the coach asking great questions, the coachee can build awareness and new skills to realise what’s possible for them </li></ul><ul><li>Of course then, it’s all about the coachee taking action....massive action </li></ul>
  9. 9. Taking Action <ul><li>I am reminded of the old story of “Teach man to fish rather than give him the fish on a plate” </li></ul>

  11. 11. Performance Coaching <ul><li>As a Performance Coach myself I love seeing sales managers and sales people have a new awareness. Seeing their joy when they get new results is fantastic Do I have my own coach? ....You bet I do </li></ul>
  12. 12. My Own Coach <ul><li>I have been investing in my own Coach now for 18 months. It’s been a significant investment and boy was I outside my comfort zone with the fees at first. </li></ul><ul><li>Now...It’s the best thing I have done for myself personally and professionally </li></ul>
