Social impact
• Common Wealth Games (CWG) in October 2010 was
came under severe criticism from social workers, civil

• The charge was that to create a glittery image of Delhi
for CWG, poor and marginalized sections of the

• In the name of beautifying Delhi, the government
threw street vendors, beggars, rickshaw pullers, and
poor out of the city.
