3. Steve Dickerson Congestion relief has been a lifelong passion of Dr. Dickerson who is Professor Emeritus at Georgia Tech. He started the first U.S. community based vanpool system, Peachtree City Commuter Bus, in 1975. At RideCell, by applying the same computer and communication techniques that took his first business to a multi-million dollar success, he has directed his efforts once again to transit. Steve invented RideCell’s patented technology on using mobile communications to serve urban transportation. In 1990, he cofounded Dickerson Vision Technologies, Inc. (DVT). In 2005 DVT Corporation was sold to Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ “CGNX”) for $115 million. It continues to be one of the leading suppliers of industrial machine vision systems. More recently, he cofounded CAMotion, Inc. where he serves as CTO. CAMotion aims to provide cost-effective automation to help stem the rapid exporting of manufacturing to low wage countries.
4. Dave Kaufman Dave comes to RideCell with a broad background in technology development and commercialization. His experience ranges from Fortune 50 Companies to start-ups. Before joining RideCell he assisted AT&T’s strategic evaluation and deployment of technologies and networks to bring new IP Multimedia products and services to their customers. He was an Executive Director at Elastic Networks where he had responsibility for Product Line Management, Business Development, and Marketing. He helped productize Elastic’s EtherLoop DSL technology, taking the start-up to $40M in sales in 18 months. Dave also managed Engineering for Electromagnetic Sciences, leading several ventures for EMS including terrestrial and satcom antenna products. Prior to EMS, he held an engineering position at Scientific Atlanta. Dave is the Author of Peachtree Creek, a book on the development of Atlanta’s watershed.
5. Aarjav Trivedi Aarjav is a veteran of many startups; most recently CipherTrust, where as part of the Advanced Product Development team he worked on taking multiple products from concept to launch including CipherTrust’sTrustedSource reputation system. He also led technical due diligence and platform integration for acquisitions and technology partnerships. Aarjav has also worked in several research and engineering positions at McAfee, Secure Computing (acquired by McAfee), SpiDynamics (acquired by HP) and L&T Infotech. He is a co-inventor on several pending patents and holds a Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
