DEMOCRATS VS REPUBLICANS
       Who is right
Democrats Republicans
► Turn around struggling public schools; ► Shift to community colleges and technical
    expand public options institutions
► Double investment in Pell Grants & more tax ► No federal college loans; just insure private
    credits loans
► Make college tuition tax deductible ► Promote school choice and home-schooling
► Standardized tests to advance learning, not ► Support voluntary student-initiated prayer in
    bureaucracy school
► Charter schools OK, vouchers not ► Limit role of federal government in education
► Support lifelong learning and Distance Learning
► Increase access to higher education with
► Education is top priority in Democrat presidency savings accounts
► Accountability is a key to public school success
► Achievement is basis for access to college

► To conclude I leave you with the following quote, from a Libertarians
education platform. In the end who is right, how do we make it work.
► My personal opinion politicians should focus on the people and not on
outside influence. If they are willing to work together and come to
consensus on what's best for the country both sides can implement part
of their educational platform and make it work.
► “Education is best provided by the free market, achieving greater
quality, accountability and efficiency with more diversity of choice.
Recognizing that the education of children is a parental responsibility,
we would restore authority to parents to determine the education of
their children, without interference from government. Parents should
have control of and responsibility for all funds expended for their
    children's education.”
