2. What is NDA ?
NDA (National Defence Academy) is an academy where Army,
Navy & Air force cadets are trained together for Indian Armed
Forces before joining their respective service academies. NDA
exam is an objective type exam, which consists of two papers,
one is fully of Math’s (300 Marks) and the other is of General
Ability (600 Marks), the second is a mix of General Awareness,
English, PCB etc. This exam is conducted twice a year.
3. Why should you give this Exam?
To be a part of the Defence forces of India i.e. Army, Navy and Air
Force you can give this exam.When you get selected you spend the
three years getting trained to be an officer and also do you
Graduation side by side, which is affiliated to JNU. After three years
you are shifted to your respected academy, after getting trained
there for a year more you get commissioned into the forces.
You can give this exam to be a part of:
•First you can be a part of Nation Defense Academy (NDA

•Navy (Naval Academy)
•Airforce (Airforce Academy)
4. Who can give NDA Exam?
Only Non-Married Males, who are either appearing or have appeared in
class 12th or equivalent they are eligible to give this exam. They should
meet some specific age criteria which is given below:
Age Limit for NDA Exam
Candidate should be 16 ½ to 19 years as of first day of the month in which
course is due to commence.
Educational Qualification
• For Army wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2
pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a
State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy: A candidate
must have passed 10+2 educational level with physics and mathematics
subjects.
5. NDA Exam Pattern
The Examination held across various cities in India.NDA exam is a two
stage process, you not only have to be good in studies and prepare well for
the written exam, when you qualify the written exam you have to be
physically fit and smart to crack the interview.

9. How to Prepare for Written NDA Exam ?
• Before you start preparing exam you should first have the idea of the level
of questions asked, for which you can refer to a good book and the
previous year question paper.
• Keep Practicing for all the subjects, though the examination is not very
tough but should be very quick in solving questions specially in math's.
• Study properly your school books of 11th and 12th Math’s to begin with.
• Try to make summaries, keywords, notes, points in your writing.
• Always start studying with the chapters you like so that you will be
in that mood to study.
• You can refer to various books available in the market and you can practice
the test through online quiz’s also.
10. How to Prepare for NDA Interview?
After clearing the NDA written exam there comes interview round.
Aspirants should brush up their present knowledge. First of all you prepare
on your bio-data. Your present residence and permanent residence places,
your schooling, your family members and their fields are basic in
preparing of NDA SSB interview. Candidates should focus on :
