14. Yes, its free marketing…that’s the Stimulus part of it
No, I’m not talking about everyone grabbing a shovel and fixing the roads in the neighborhood…
And I’m not asking you to buy more stuff or spend more money
I’m talking about Word of Mouth. Its like the Holy Grail of marketing.
If you ask someone you trust or know about which product, dentist, or service to use…you would probably use or buy what they recommended. Or at least try it out.
Powerful, but not much reach. And the shelf life is pretty short.
#2? Online Reviews. Stuff consumers do influences buying decisions more than things businesses do.
Much longer life and thus touches WAAAAAY more people. Talk about businesses, people, services, charities, and organizations you like
Just filler to let me finish
Who has done at least 1 online review? OK, now who has done at least 20?
We need more people contributing!
We’re letting people who don’t even live here tell us what is best… what?
Most people don’t post online unless its really cool or really bad
This is the stimulus part. Talk about local businesses, people, organizations, charities online on your Blog, a review site, or comment on their blog
Businesses have a part in this too
Organizations need to listen to all of this great info out there. Good, bad, or somewhere in between.
Think of it like a comment card. If someone had a great experience, don’t you want to know about it? What about a bad experience?
Pour Gas on the fire! Thank people! Encourage the behavior! How?....
Maybe offer something small like a gift card or a comment on their blog. You’re innovators, you’ll think of something.
One thing a week? Think about what happened in the last week that was good. Maybe its something mundane or expected. But it was good. Talk about that.
