Arnold Schwarzenegger Reportedly Obsessed With Actress Linda Hamilton in 1984
1. Arnold Schwarzenegger Reportedly Obsessed With Actress
Linda Hamilton in 1984
Actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to his share of personal peccadillos
over the years, including several affairs during his marriage to Maria Shriver. According to
numerous sources, however, his sexual joie de vivre began far earlier than that, allegedly
manifesting into criminal behavior as they worked closely with one another during the 1984
blockbuster thriller The Terminator.
"It was unbelievable," said a member of the production crew, who requested anonymity. "Arnold was
completely fixated with her."
Just being systematic
The alleged encounters began when the actress was just 28 year sold and working at Big Jeff's, a
coffee shop in the Los Angeles area. For reasons that have yet to be fully understood, the actor
assumed an almost 'robotic' demeanor in his determination to meet the young waitress, despite
never having seen her before and only knowing her name. Various eyewitness accounts indicate he
assaulted a man in a phone booth to obtain her address, stole a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice Estate
Wagon, and accosted every person bearing the same name until finally narrowing down the list.
In a somewhat confusing deposition given to police interrogators, co-star Michael Biehn claimed that
the actor's criminal actions could be traced to a shadowy organization called "Skynet" that may have
had it in for Hamilton. He testified that the group "knew almost nothing about (Hamilton), her full
name, where she lives. They just knew the city. (Schwarzenegger) was just being systematic."
The threat grows
The production crew member said that the actress did nothing to initiate Schwarzenegger's
obsession. "He was wild, just wild," she said. "Walking around the streets of L.A. naked, beating up a
bunch of punk kids and stealing their clothes, even wearing sunglasses at night." She shuddered.
"He ran over some kid's toy in an ugly green station wagon."
Unaware of his actions at first, Hamilton eventually received word of Schwarzenegger's obsession
through a television news broadcast, which indicated that his crime spree had started an intense
manhunt. After ducking into a club called Tech Noir on Pico Boulevard, she called the police, who
instructed her to stay put and promised that the police would be there "in a hot minute." Before law
enforcement could arrive, however, the two finally met.
The situation spins out of control
By this time, the actor had finally seen a picture of Hamilton what do 24 hour fitness employees
wear and was scanning the crowd, looking intently for her. "Those eyes, those deep, red eyes," said
female dancer #6, who was an onstage extra during the scene. "They didn't just look at you. They
looked right through you."
By then, it was clear that Schwarzenegger's infatuation was spinning out of control. "I'll never forget
it," said director James Cameron. "Arnold was looking around the room, Linda had dropped
something and momentarily ducked out of his field of vision, and then she lifted back up and their
2. eyes locked." He swallowed hard, the memory still clearly difficult for him to process. "And then, all
of a sudden, Arnold pulls out a freaking gun. It was this crazy .45 long slide with laser sighting, and
it was trained right on her. If Michael Biehn hadn't intervened ..." He couldn't finish the thought.
Schwarzenegger's criminal activity reaches a fever pitch
The next several days saw the former bodybuilder display a wanton disregard for public safety in his
attempts to meet up with Hamilton. "The video evidence was irrefutable," said former Los Angeles
County District Attorney Ira Reiner. "He stole a police car, trashed a police station, fired numerous
weapons in public, and even chased the terrified girl and her boyfriend down a highway on a
motorcycle." He paused, then said, "After he was denied seeing Hamilton in the police station, he
warned the desk cop on duty of his intent with a phrase that still haunts me today, nearly thirty
years later: I'll be back."
"And you know what?" Reiner's face darkened. "He was."
Famed celebrity psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw speculated that 'roid rage' might have been the root
cause of Shwarzenegger's actions. "He had muscles on top of muscles. Hell, his hair had muscles,"
said Dr. Phil. "We know that steriod usage in the bodybuilding world is rampant." He held up a
cautionary finger. "All it takes is one too many pills taken at the wrong time, and sometimes these
guys just snap."
The obsession ends where redemption begins
Eventually, the actor's fixation ended, but not before he broke into a hotel room, fired an automatic
weapon, stole a tanker truck and caused an explosion that rained down liquid fire on half a city
block. "He kinda went all to pieces at the end," said the production crew member. "Let's just leave it
at that."
Charges were never filed, despite the mountain of evidence against him. "You know how it goes with
those celebrity types," said Reiner, rolling his eyes. "Metal endoskeleton, my ass." Sources speculate
3. that large financial remunerations were made which ended the incident for all parties concerned.
In a bizarre twist, Hamilton indicated that Schwarzenegger actually protected her and her son from
harm seven years later, not long after escaping from a mental institution that he helped put her in.
"I'd call it poetic justice if he actually had a soul," said Reiner. "Schwarzenegger said it best himself:
'I know now why you cry, but that is something I can never do."
He rose, sneering with contempt: "Heartless bastard."
