2. crowds love to
film
There’s no denying crowds love to
film. Whether at a wedding or a
concert, we’re all now familiar with
seeing as many cameras as we do
faces and see the increase in social
media posts as a result.
Whilst almost every angle and
aspect of an event is captured via a
Smartphone, we are currently
limited to re-living that experience
one perspective at a time. So how
can we use the wealth of video
available to create shared and truly
spectacular video content?
3. what is
UVuu.Me?
UVuu.Me turns attendees videos
clips into multi camera footage of
an event.
The platform automatically
grades, selects, compiles, and
edits video clips from any
number of users into finished
video footage, to create a truly
shared experience.
Uvuu.Me is fully automated. All
you need to do is film, and help
create footage truly worth
sharing.
4. we know what to edit
UVuu.Me works by analysing video
meta data to intelligently ‘produce’
disparate video clips into a finished,
publishable output.
Meta data is the “data about data”. It
describes location, time, orientation,
acceleration, oscillation, etc. Meta
data in fact gives us all the
information we need to grade clips,
quality score (remove poor quality
clips) and determine proximity to
what’s being filmed so we know
which the best clips are.
5. looking through the lens
Whilst meta data tells us about the device during capture, UVuu.Me uses
computer vision (CV) to effectively ”look through the camera lens”. CV enables
us to use object recognition within a video clip such as buildings, faces or logos.
We can then derive more information on quality, movement, focus and content,
such as ensuring each clip contains a specific logo.
6. the more
the merrier
UVuu.Me can be used for any event, but our real impact comes to life at large
scale events. UVuu.Me processes video by reading metadata from the device and
computer vision and then only ‘pulls’ the clips of suitable quality needed. This
means the number of users filming doesn’t greatly impact how quickly we can
process the clips and we don’t waste bandwidth and capacity uploading clips that
are not needed.
7. who we work
with
UVuu.Me is starting life as the
‘engine behind the scenes’.
We want to create greater
interaction between content
owners and the crowd, so we are
currently working with artists,
clubs, brands, rights owners,
broadcasters etc. to create branded
apps that link to and utilise the
UVuu.Me platform.
Crowdsourced content will not
replace professionally captured
content, but it will add a wealth of
perspectives that were previously
unachievable and create incredible
socially shared experiences.
