Mexico's History The Olmecs, Mexico's first known society, settled on the Gulf Coast near what is now Veracruz. Remembered for the giant head sculptures they carved from native stone, the Olmecs had two main population centers: San Lorenzo, which flourished from about 1200 to 900 B.C., and La Venta in Tabasco, which lasted until about 600 B.C. Religion and Culture Religion~ Mexico practices many different religions, more common ones are Nahua.  They worship several deities, which presents a Greek and Egyptian deities. Culture~ Mexican culture is one of the most fascinating cultures in the world.  The mixture of strong native legends, artistic expressions and Spanish cultural elements make the Mexican culture unique.  There are many different parts of the Mexican culture, some of them are their Mexican heritage, and their music.  Mayan traditions are a big part of Mexican culture as well. ~Food~ Mexico food is very popular And always considered being spicy.... That is partially true. Mexico is known for giving the world  chocolate, peanuts, beans, coconuts, and tomatoes
