2. Once there was a cat named Fredrick. He was all grey and his mom
got run over by a truck when he was first born. He was a stray in a
little town. He lived in an alley where there was an abandoned
house with a broken window. There were people that lived in that
house and they left behind some food. In that little alley were lots of
dumpsters where he was born.

3. One day a big brown dog came and chased Fredrick and he ran into the little
abandoned house. He was scared and terrified by the dog! The dog looked in
the broken window growling and staring at Fredrick. Fredrick crouched with big
eyes and a puffing tail! Then the dog went away, and Fredrick was happy.

4. He saw a mouse and sat on top of the dumpster.
His friend Spots came with the mouse in his
mouth. Spots had black spots and grey spots.
Spots was friends with Fredrick for a long time.
So they ate the mouse and started to talk, and
they decided to go on an adventure. So they
jumped onto the road and set off.

5. When they reached the woods a big
black dog with a big black spike collar
jumped out of the bushes and scared
Spots and Fredrick. So they hissed
and ran away.

6. They ended up in a strange place they had never seen
before with humans in it and tall buildings and
electronics on them. They thought to themselves, what
is this place? They looked around and saw the humans.
and they did not like it so they went to the woods.

7. Then they came to a perfect
place, they felt good and
relaxed. Spots went to the water
fall and cleaned his fur with no
licking. A new stray cat popped
its head out of the waterfall to
see what was going on and
Spots did not notice him.

8. Fredrick came and they went
behind the waterfall. Then
the other cat was there with a
mouse in its mouth and a
mother cat with first born
kittens. Spots and Fredrick
were surprised. The other
cars were surprised too so
were the kittens that were
crawling slowly to their
mother. So they came out
from behind the waterfall, and
suddenly they saw......

9. a human! The human picked up Fredrick
and Fredrick mewed. The human said
“Youʼre so cute!” Fredrick did not
understand her but she had nice hands
that were soft. Fredrick felt safe. Spots
was even more surprised when he
looked up at Fredrick and the human.
Then Spots mewed to be petted, too.

10. The humanʼs name was Sally. She had
been playing in the playground near the
woods. When she heard some mewing,
she went in the woods to find out what it
was. So, Sally took Fredrick and Spots to
their car where her dad was waiting for
her. She asks her dad if she can bring
them in the car. Her dad said OK, and
picked them up and drove home. The
cats did not mind it but theyʼve never
been in a car before.
Then they went into the
house and Sally asked her
dad if she can keep the cats.
Her dad said sure! There
was a dog in the house
named Brownie, who was
sitting on a chair. Spots and
Fredrick looked at Brownie,
but he was a friendly dog so
nothing went wrong.

11. The dog came down from his chair and
licked Fredrick and sniffed him. The dog
liked Fredrick and Fredrick liked the dog.
Spots was not sure with the dog at first, but
then got used to it. Sally gave them food and
the dog and cats slept together in the little
dog bed.
