Introducing Outside AZ’s weekly update:
Outside AZ’s mission is to bring people closer to the world
outside. You may not have enough time in your day to stay as
connected as you’d like. So I’m here to help. I’m reading and
hiking and filtering through all the noise to help you stay
connected.
Each week (or as often as I can) I’ll highlight hikes, photos,
news and views from around Arizona that you might not have
seen but wish you hadn’t missed.
Note: I can’t know or find everything so please share your news &
views too! To stay connected we need more than one voice! Email
outsideaz@gmail.com or share your news directly on Outside AZ’s
facebook page.

Small wildfire catches off FR143 in Four Peaks
Wilderness Area on Sunday May 16th
Outside AZ was hiking at Brown’s Peak when we spotted and called in
a fire burning in the distance. We weren’t the first to call, but glad
we did anyway. On our hike down we watched the wind spread the
fire, but the quick-to-act fire service officials were already on the
scene when we drove out of the area. This fire should be quickly
contained. No news on how it first caught fire.
