The Tunisian Agricultural Research System

The agricultural research system has the main objetives :
Elaborating natioanal reserach programmmes and the corresponding
financial budgets
Follow up and assessment of research programs
Coordination and complementarity between eduaction and research
institutions in the agricultural field.
Act so as the higher education and research institutions work is
orinted to farmers
2. Researche and
development
In the framework of the project supported by the World
Bank (agricultural support services project) several research
projects were proposed by the Interporgessionnal Groups
(Groupements interprofessionels ‘GIP’) related to quality
aspects in the agriculture and fishery sector.
Framework agreements in research and development
between IRESA and Interprofessionnal Groups (GIP, such
as GIVLAIT, GIFRUITS, OEGP, GIPP, and GIPAC)
15 projects chains were elaborated and adopted (Meat
sector, Milk, Fishery, Poultry, Vegetabkes, Fruits, etc. )
