Framed – film review
1. Framed – Film Review. Jade Donno
‘Framed’ is an excellent example of a
psychological thriller. It fits the
genre perfectly with its complex
story line and lonely protagonist.
The story follows the protagonist
(James) running away from a murder
he has been framed for. The murder
is of his daughter; so not only do
people think he has murdered his
daughter; he is also suffering from
grief. People try to help him but he
lashes out and we as an audience
are left in suspense trying to work
out who is against him and who is
trying to help him.
With scenes of high suspense the
film fits both genders but could be seen as ‘boring’ for younger viewers. I
think that this film would be more appropriate for people aged 21 and
above.
The soundtrack holds the suspense for the audience as it is minimalistic and
simple and makes all the difference to the film as the viewers are on the
edge of their seat waiting for something to happen.
As it being a Warner bros. film I expected to see some high profile actors. It
was disappointing at first to see the non-A list cast but the impressive acting
from ……. Impressed me and for anyone who watches it, will be impressed
as well.
The camera shots were beautiful and had a certain Danny Boyle style to
them. There was a good variation of camera shots making it more
interesting for the viewer.
Overall the film was very impressive and I expect to see many more good
things from Neko Bus productions.
