7. You will need to know how to identify the Hardness of a Mineral using this scale. Note: If a mineral can scratch the Common Object, it is harder than that object and all other minerals with a smaller scale number Ex. Quartz scratches a glass plate. It is harder that the glass and all minerals below 7.
