The document discusses a business idea to produce dried fruits in Colombia to increase fruit consumption and exports. Dried fruits are a nutritious snack as they are high in vitamins, minerals, and fibers while being compact in size. By removing water through dehydration, dried fruits can be preserved for longer without refrigeration and are well-suited as snacks for workers and athletes. The business aims to utilize Colombia's fruit production and export dried fruits, starting with Japan which has a large junk food market. The idea has potential for success by addressing the country's fruit surplus and providing economic and social benefits.

Product for export
1.
2. The product was chosen because Colombia is a country rich in
fruit, but the people do not have the habit of consuming, so
we devised a strategy to reach them in a different and
attractive way to generate increased consumption and just to
get to the places where the fruit is scarce thus obtaining its
export
3. Dried fruits are 100% natural, not be refined or have artificial
additives. In the process of evaporation of the liquid their
carbohydrates, fiber, protein and minerals are concentrated.
It is good source of calcium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus,
iron and magnesium. Some contain copper and manganese.
They are also rich in vitamins A and B, but no D and E and
have little vitamin C, because it is lost during drying.
4. When food is dehydrated lose
water they hold, thus preventing
the growth of
microorganismsalmost
completely.
It has half the volume and weighs ten
times less than the original fruit;
what makes it a good choice for
employees at work or athletes who
exercise outdoors.
Excellent food supplement mixed with milk, smoothies, honey or jam.
5. If we had the possibility to export the product. We would export to
Japan, since it is the country with the highest consumption of junk
food in the world.
6. If this idea out as desired. This idea would be a success. Because
thanks to the privileged position and location, Colombia is one of the
Countries Latin America that produces more fruit, according to the
Food and Agriculture Organization [FAO], a person should eat at least
5 servings of fruit per day, or 400 grams.
7. If we carry out this business idea, we would be playing into the
Colombian economy through the use of agricultural land to cover rural
areas, the potential source of income, employment and single engine.
