1. 1. Chemical and Physical change By: Keonte Hardin 9-18-09 Period. 2 nd
 2. 2. Definition

Physical change is when something's shape or size changes. For example, when you step on a metal can it becomes smaller which means you changed its shape. Physical change can be reversed but chemical change can nit be reversed.

Chemical change is when new substances are produced with new chemical properties. For example, When Iron reacts with oxygen in a chemical reaction it creates a new substance called rust.

 3. 3. Example of chemical change

What you see below is sour milk. The milk has gone sour because of a chemical reaction. The milk has bacteria in it that can make it sour. Over a period amount of time that bacteria starts to grow which will make the milk sour and unsuitable to drink.

 4. 4. Example of physical change

Below is a crushed can which is a physical change. The can shape and size has been altered which means that this is a physical change.
