Milton Hershey School has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2016. The award recognizes companies across the state based on workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics.

2. Introduction
 Milton Hershey School has been named one of the Best
Places to Work in PA for 2016. The award recognizes
companies across the state based on workplace policies,
practices, philosophies, systems and demographics.
“It is an honor for Milton Hershey School to be named
one of the best places to work in the state for the second
consecutive year,” said MHS President Peter Gurt ’85.
“Our faculty and staff’s commitment to helping students
achieve their goals is truly humbling. Their work makes a
meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the
future of the communities in which we live.”
Milton Hershey School is located in Hershey, Pa.
Established in 1909, the school is a home and school to
more than 2,000 children from families of lower income.

3. Best Place to Work
 MHS and its dedicated staff offer a top-notch education
and positive home life to students in pre-kindergarten
through 12th grade—at no cost to their families—in order
to nurture and support them in leading fulfilling and
productive lives that break the cycle of generational
poverty. In order to provide opportunities to more
children, the school continues to grow and is looking for
caring individuals who want to step up and make a
positive impact on the lives of others.
The awards program is a public/private partnership
between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the
Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic
Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the
Society for Human Resource Management, and the
Central Penn Business Journal.
