A missionary has the job of going on
once in a lifetime adventures, telling
others about GOD and the wonderful
things he has done, telling the world
about JESUS and his love for us, and
also getting a chance to help other
people in many ways.

When you get into high school and you
know that you want to become a
missionary, colleges will not accept you
unless you have taken the following
classes…
history (for at least four years)

(for at least 3 years)

6. HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE?!?!
You would have to stay in college for
around six years to become a missionary.
This would get you a bachelor of arts
degree and a masters of divinity in
ministry degree. You will need these
degrees if you are planning to become a
missionary.
7. CLASSES
The classes that you would have to take when you decide to continue your education
are the following…
Foundational core courses
MDIV courses
context, 15 hours
The story of the church, 24-27 hours
Interpretation, 21-24 hours
The church’s mission, 12 hours
Electives, 9 hours
English Bible Exam
E-portfolio review
Bible languages
8. $ COST $
The cost per year for continuing your
education at Abilene Christian University is
$38,250.00.
9. INCOME
The annual income with my chosen career
would be $0.00, but some of the donations
from different church’s would go to me to
help me with my job. If I were you and I
decided to become a missionary, I would
consider being a missionary as a part time
job. This way I/you could also make
money.
