State Bank Of India (It has the largest banking branch network across
India and also significant worldwide presence).
Punjab National Bank (It is the 1st Indian bank started solely with Indian
Capital which survived to the present day and area of presence largely in
Northern states of India).
Syndicate Bank (It started with meager capital of 8000 and area of
presence largely in the state of Karnataka).
This presentation is about the profile and geographical presence of following
three Public Sector Banks.

๏Established in 1925 at Udupi, Karnataka.
๏Twenty banks merged with the Canara Industrial and Banking Syndicate
Ltd. The name of the bank was changed to Syndicate Bank Limited in 1964.

20. CONCLUSION
After going through this presentation ,it concludes that SBI is the largest bank of our
country with equal presence across all over India. Whereas PNB presence is more in
Northern states (U.P, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana) and Syndicate Bank having its
presence in Southern states (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh).
