2. Once upon a time, well more like three or four days ago in high school, we met Corbin. He’s one of the “populars”. Every girl wanted to date him, and everynerd wanted to ruin his life. He was royalty.
3. He always wore Ed Hardy shirts, designer skinny jeans, and of course aviator sunglasses. What is his main goal in high school you may ask… well it is to find and date the prettiest girl in school, and only the prettiest. He didn’t care if she was as dumb as a rock, nor had as much personality as a leaf falling from a tree, but she had to be GORGEOUS.
4. He devised a plan to figure out who was the prettiest girl in school; he would give them a test. A test of beauty, and of course he would ask them who the hottest guy in school was. The test wouldn’t consist of “smart people” problems, but questions like “do you feel pretty” and “have you ever felt lonely cuz you’re not pretty?”
5. The day he gave out a test he saw a girl sprinting in from the parking lot, she was a mess. But she made it to school for this important test. The rest of the girls were lined up out the door, many of them from schools Corbin had never heard of. There was even one from a boarding school!
6. The test he gave to them was on the computer, the first screen said “press any key to begin.” They couldn’t find the “any” key… The nerds made the test for him and knew many wouldn’t be able to do this step. They really didn’t like Corbin.
7. Once the last of the girls had taken the test, Corbin was wiped out. The first girl had no idea how to spell her own name. The second wasn’t cute. Then he saw the girl who had sprinted in earlier. He could tell she was pampered; she had on Ugg boots, clothes from Barneys in New York, and a pink pair of aviators. He had found his match. Corbin didn’t notice but she had pulled up in a limo; the reason she was late, her chauffer was late. And, she was GORGEOUS.
8. Needless to say they are now dating. He had gotten so wrapped up in his test that he had forgotten about the biggest test of the year in his Algebra class. It was the test that decided his college. He was done for. Somehow he had to get a good grade on this test. He had to turn to the nerds…..
9. He got the girl, he’s got the life, but what about the test that decides if he will go to his dream college. Well, now that isn't part of this story.
10. Is there a lesson to be learned from this? High school and life aren’t about image. It’s about finding who you are and what you want to do. Don’t be so concerned with appearance.
