Social Media Marketing Strategies
1.
2. 1. ESTABLISH PLANS BASED ON STRATEGY
Define your Social Media Marketing strategy based on your business niche,
client targets / expectations and your business long term goal.
To be effective, your Social Media Marketing plan must be realistic,
measurable and time based. This means there is a time limit for which
the outcome from the plan must be realized.
If your Social Media outcome is not fruitful, this doesn’t really mean your
plan failed. Sometimes, it could be due to your nice market competition,
user’s needs and other social media metrics that should now become
more evident.
Without a plan, the chance for Social Media failure is much greater. Every
plan increase the likelihood of success being 50% or more possible to
come through.
3. 2. CREATE QUALITY CONTENT
“Content is King” and in Social Media Marketing, this is even more true.
Social Media relies on actively engaging with online prospects,
resulting in real time contents being exchanged and published more
quickly than was previously possible.
This means that if your content is of high quality, visitors would be more
likely to read it and trust your authority on the subject. Eventually, your
brand becomes mentioned through comments, article sharing or direct
visit to your website. Before you know it, you are popular and start
getting attention from search engines.
Quality content does not have to be lengthy, as sometimes getting straight
to the point is better than wordy and keyword stuffing that negatively
impact visitor’s interests.
4. 3. THINK VISUALLY
The use of pictures and images can easily represent an idea, concept or
principle more easier than wordy description. As the saying goes, “ A
Picture Paints 1,000 words”.
With respect to Social Media, a picture paints high visitor engagement and
higher level of retention which in essence manage to engage their
interest.
To be visual, try and use images that closely relate to the concept or idea
that you are looking to promote via social media engagement.
In our example shown via the next slide, we consider success as moving
upwards so, use a ladder to represent this.
5. 2. THINK VISUALLY CONT’D
Here we are using a ladder to
represent successfully moving
upward on the Social Media
ladder.
Can you think of a Social
Media Concept that could
closely relate to your own
business need?
If so, make a note of it now.
6. 4. BE ACTIVE & RESPONSIVE
Nobody likes to be ignored and with Social Media Marketing, this principle
still hold true.
It is always good to respond to valid questions or visitor’s enquiries
directed to you.
By doing so, it is likely that the visitor may tell another friend and before
you know, you are being promoted.
Search Engines are also interested In snippets of conversation as it
triggers the presence of traffic and possible useful contents that could
be ranked online.
Since social media communications are amore or less real-time, this could
serve as a useful technique for promoting your online presence quickly
in search engines.
7. 5. TRACK, MEASURE & IMPROVE
As you engage via social media, it is useful to know how your conversation
or engagement is doing. Most Social Media platform now have charts
and graphs that allows you to see what is happening over small
durations or longer periods.
Tracking allows you to determine what is getting online traction (being
actively engaged by visitors) and provide you with the opportunity to
either do more of the same or amplify the strategy for desirable
outcome.
For instance, we realize that you like reading this post and so, we make it
interesting to keep you going. It’s just a pity that we decide to stop here,
but…..
Look our for our next slide release to see what the BUT…. Above really
means
