2. Top Level Flats
I looked at some images of the set
in the professional productions of
In The Heights to get some
inspiration for the flat that I am
going to make.
This image shows a closer look at
the upper stage left. Based on
what I can see here I am planning
on incorporating cream colours
and light browns into my final
product, as from the script I know
that this side of the stage doesn’t
get burgled and looks generally
nicer than the other apartments.
After searching for the correct shades that I want to
paint my product, I decided that these colours would
best suit the clean and peaceful look of the
apartments on the upper left side of the stage.
Here is the sketch of my final
design for my flat. I have
decided to paint a door to
go on the end of the row of
flats. I have used the colours
that I chose earlier on,
however I have replaced the
cream colour with white to
colour the bricks, making
the door look even
cleaner in contrast
to the other side
of the stage.
