1. A4i was originally a community project to showcase examples of open data use in Italy when there was no national strategy, but it is now one of three pillars of Italy's new Open Data strategy. 2. A4i is inviting all EU citizens to participate by building useful and innovative projects using Italian public data for cash and technology prizes. 3. The contest will run from November 20, 2011 to January 10, 2012, with an awards ceremony on January 20, 2012.
