  3. 3. What happens at Emmanuel?<br /><ul><li>Established primarily to deal with the growing number of adults and children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. It functions with strategic partners and is funded through a Trust founded by Dr Mamisa Chabula-Nxiweni in 2004.

  7. 7. Focus of Port Elizabeth Living Lab<br />Healthcare systems:<br /><ul><li>Biometrics for chronic conditions monitoring (310 home-based carers)Diseases:  TB, diabetes, hypertension
  8. 8. Mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) monitoring and administering appropriate medication
  9. 9. Specialised training system for community healthcare
  10. 10. Monitoring of sputum tests and results for chronic conditions</li></ul>Agriculture:<br /><ul><li>Use of ICT to enable sustainable agriculture and village farming
  11. 11. Tips and tricks of preparing soil, disease control, harvest</li></ul>Entrepreneurs:<br /><ul><li>Use of ICT to train small entrepreneurs in basic business activities (e.g. stock take, profit, etc)
