• Groups agrees and need to be explore, where there is possibilities (Already explored by GPSS, SACAL and Madhyam Foundation)• Site Selection (Head Difference, Quality and Discharge of Water flow)• Feasibilities Studies- Design, Demand of Water for Drinking, Household need, and Irrigation, Livestock, No of House hold to be covered, No of units to be installed)• Community Participation for Management and Distribution (Separate for Drinking, Household need, Supply to the Individual and at the Common Point, Sharing of costing)• Costing- Rs.50,000/- to 60,000/- for covering 30-40 Household in a compact village (Average Cost wiil be Rs.1500/- per H.H.)
Cont.• We don’t have much experience but one of NGO done in Kandhamal, which costing is Rs.17 to 20 lacs including irrigation and supply to electricity to 30 to 40 household.• Solar pump, wind mill can be another option for both irrigation,drinking water and Electricity• Solar pump-4 lacs for 80 H.H.• Wind Mill- Rs. 70,000/- for 20 H.H.
