2. What is History? History can be changed based on how someone saw it or understood it These facts can be checked with different sources, primary and secondary The Alamo could be considered to be a heroic event but some could consider it a misguided event depending on who’s looking at the event
3. The Journey of Man Man spread out across the world because of decline in certain areas of the world All humans are related to one single man The San people are considered to be descendents of the early humans The Y chromosome, helps the researchers determine and prove the theory of human migration Diversity is created through geographic isolation
4. Catastrophe! There was a mini-Ice Age in 535 A.D. Could have been caused by a meteor or comet but there is no scientific data to support this theory There is information that states that an eruption occurred to create Java and Sumatra which could have triggered this Ice Age These events could have triggered the Dark Ages in Europe and all over the world This time was marked by cold temperatures, throughout the world This is especially documented in Europe
5. America before Columbus Before the arrival of Europeans, the American continent was populous and sophisticated When the Mayflower landed it was winter, the colonists stole from the Indians to survive Europeans brought many epidemics with them to the Americas Many Indians developed large portions of the earth to help support their communities

The World and Trade The world outside of Europe in 1492 was very active with industry and communication The Norse people reached as far as Greenland Columbus’s voyage showed that there was world outside of Europe and that Europe, the Middle East and Africa were not the only continents Asia and India were very important parts of the world economy because they produced spices The quest for spices was one of the reasons people began to explore the world to have quicker access to these goods
