2. Before Our Experiment
Independent Variables: potato, apple, liver, and steak
Dependent Variables: presence of reaction and
breaking down the hydrogen peroxide
Control Group: rock
Constant: amount of hydrogen peroxide (5 ml), amount
of independent variable (4 cm diameter), temperature
of hydrogen peroxide and independent variable (room
temperature)
Hypothesis: they both had an enzyme
that breaks down hydrogen peroxide

3. Rock (control)
Before After
The rock did not have an enzyme that
breaks down hydrogen peroxide

4. Potato
Before After
The potato did have an enzyme that
breaks down hydrogen peroxide

5. Apple
Before After
The apple did have an enzyme that
breaks down hydrogen peroxide

6. Liver
Before After
The liver did have an enzyme that breaks
down hydrogen peroxide

7. Steak
The steak did have an enzyme that breaks
down hydrogen peroxide

8. Our conclusion was that both plants and
animals have an enzyme that breaks down
hydrogen peroxide, however we think that
animals have more of the enzyme
