1. Driving Lesson: Ideas and Advice
As you would expect the amount of driving instructors trying to make a living in London is very high which of
course means fierce competition. The problem here is that although there may be a lot of choice they may not all
be of a high quality and could leave you wanting as well as out of pocket with not very much having been
achieved. It is always recommended that you shop around a do a little homework before taking on a driving
instructor as you may find deals where you really didn’t expect to. Always listen to advice from others such as
close friends, family members etc as word of mouth is normally a very good sign of a quality driving instructor –
especially in London. It is also well worth taking into consideration the idea of letting a friend or family member
teach you the basics so that you have a good platform to move on from when you do eventually choose your
instructor.
Locating a Good Driving Instructor
Another tried and tested method these days is to try and find a driving instructor in London via the social
networking route – i.e. Facebook for example. When you begin your search, you will normally find that most
driving instructors will offer incentives for you to go with them, such as buy one, get one free – or block book say
six lessons and get a seventh free. Some will even go as far as to give you the first one or two lessons for free.
This is ideal as you will be able to gauge their teach style and whether it is effective for you – you can then make
a decision whether to stick with this teacher or move on and try to find one that suits your needs more.
Going Back to Basics
Always, always remember to check the basics such as how much a driving lesson will actually cost you, how long
each driving lesson will last – what the driving instructors hour are so as to ascertain whether they will fit in with
when you require lessons and finally what kind of incentives they have on offer for you.
One of the most important factors is that you actually feel at ease with your driving instructor and feel that you will
get on with them as you will obviously be spending some considerable time with them within an enclosed
environment. The best way to establish this is to take up one or two introductory lessons. It really won’t take very
long to know whether or not you gel with your instructor.
