The document discusses several issues with allowing cell phones in schools, including the possibility of coordinating bomb threats and activating bombs by cell phone. It also mentions cell phones can spread rumors causing social disorder and fights, as well as be a distraction in class and enable cheating if test answers are shared. The presentation thanks the teacher, Mr. Lindstrom, for motivating the student and inspiring them through education.
2. Bombing Possibility
Many bomb threats are directed through
cell phones, allowing students to easily
coordinate such things from within.
In many cases, bombs are activated
through cell phones, which is bad.
3. Social Disorder
Rumors can be spread through texting,
causing social disorder, and many fights
can be coordinated through cell phones
(following the social disorder).
4. Distractions!
Let me ask you a serious
question, completely serious, and I want
you to look in my eyes when you
answer. Seriously, look into these brown
pools of chocolate pudding: have you
ever texted during class? ‘Nuff said.
5. Cheating
Test answers can be texted to friends
after a student has taken the test, and
guess what? That is cheating. We all
know it.
6. Thanks!
There are many people I want to thank
for this presentation, but above all, I
want to thank Mr. Lindstrom. He has
motivated me to do great things, above
all complete this PowerPoint. I am truly
blessed to go to his class everyday and
hear him educate me through in-depth
note taking and inspiring lectures. This
one is for you, Jeff!
