2. A short Note about
Liquids
Liquid is one of the four fundamental states of
matter. (Which are Solid, Liquid, Gas and
Plasma).
It is the only state with a definite volume but no
fixed shape.
A liquid is made up of tiny vibrating particles of
matter, such as atoms, held together by
intermolecular bonds.
Liquids can take the shape of the container
easily and quickly and maintains a fairly
constant density.
3. ๏ขIn Liquid, Particles have no fixed
positions and move around another. If
a liquid is heated the particles gain
energy thus they move faster and
further from one another. The particles
of a liquid are less close to one
another. Forces of mutual attraction
exist between particles.
4. PARTICLES OF LIQUID
In these
pictures you
see how
particles are
arranged in a
liquid. As you
can see
particles are
a little bit
further away
from each
other than in
a solid but
still closer to
each other
than in
gases.
