1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

2. The technologies I used were all products of the schools; adobe after effects, final cut pro, camera(cannon XM20), tripod and lighting (redheads and lilliputs). I began by using the tripod and camera, I learnt how to adjust the exposure for correct light intensity, I done all my filming with manual focusing to be able to control the depth of field with the aperture settings. The first time we done all the filming the tape got ruined as dirt got into it, consequently I had to re shoot all the footage which I believe came out better the second time. I would adjust the tripod for the angle of shot I would want to shoot. I also done some handheld filming in the point of view shot going down the slide and tracking his feet while he was skipping.

3. For the lighting I used two redheads and one lilliput to create three point lighting making the subject stand out more. I experimented with its positioning and exposure by adjusting the flaps, to create a dark eerie atmosphere. I would have had to be careful not to burn my fingers, but also not to leave them on for too long as they could easily over heat.

4. After the filming I used final cut pro where I began the editing by cutting the clips ups and arranging them in the correct order, I then used after effects to produce the lettering for the titles, which I would import into final cut pro to develop further. I used the razor tool to cut the clips, which I would the move and resize to create a flicker I then layer the same text on top changing the composite mode from normal to screen to see both layers working on the new layer I would use the razor tool to cut into small sections I would then create a wire frame which I would use to adjust the size, rotation and move the lettering, after which I would use appropriate effects such as add noise, I would do this with each title making each one unique. I then added the video transition all the dissolves and fade in and outs. I then added a voice over of video clips which I separated from the footage, and slightly overlapped to create a sense of continuity. I also adjusted the time frames for some clips slowing them down. 5. I have also used a blog to keep a documented account of my work rather then have to have it all on paper, his is very use full as I am now able to do things that I would not have been able to do before like pest videos, use power points, I have also used slide share to upload my work with improves the presentation of my blog. blog Slideshare
