The topic in question has to do with ways of curbing corruption in a particular developing country. This happens the 1st two stages in the designing process - Empathize & Define.
1. Empathy MAP
SAY
My interviewee happens to be a young guy who has been
affected negatively in one way or the other by the level
of corruption in the country. He presently has a
foundation with one of its objectives being innovating
ways to curb corruption in the country. There were a
couple of claims he made. Below are some of them:
-? corruption is a modern day hindrance to better life?
-?corruption goes a long way in impairing growth?
-? it disrupts the normal human development process of
citizens?
-?it is very infectious & leads to kleptocracy in
government?
-?diversion of enormous government resources from
the public coffers into private hands thrives in such
environment?
-? It breeds inefficiencies & wastes in the system?
-?the level of extraction ultimately leads to poverty in
the land?
-?It weakens the building blocks of a nation?
-?Leads to very low foreign direct investments?
-?It makes a country a breeding ground for all sort of
lawlessness and criminal activities?
-?standards of living ends up not corresponding with
the revenue generated & GDP of a country?
-?it leads to a colossal eco nomic and social depreciation?

THINK
The truth of the matter is that
corruption is a big stigma in the
modern day economy. It has
affected the lives of the majority
of people living in countries where
corruption thrives in so many
negative ways. The level of
extraction in the system by
corrupt officials in the system is
pretty alarming and there have to
be systems or institutions in place
to act as checks & balances to as
to give the common citizen a much
more better environment to
thrive. Also, leaders in developing
countries (where people like my
interviewee and I reside) have to
be more accountable to the
system. They should inspire in the
younger generation on the need to
adopt a better value system.
2. Problem Statement
The Stakeholder needs a way(s) to build a model(s)
(involving all stakeholders) to counter or curb the level of
corruption in his country, because over the past decades the
effect of this has been very pathetic in his country of
residence. The level of decadence in the system (both social
and economic) has grown astronomically over time which in
turn has been very detrimental to the well being and growth
of the majority of citizens in his country.
DO
I did observe my interviewee very
closely and from our conversation I can
tell that he is really passionate about
the topic in question. He talked with full
energy & gusto and with a passion that
was so vivid. He gave me a couple of
experiences he had and the negative
outcome of that in his life in the past.
He did gave me all his attention because
he enjoyed talking about what he intends
to do or achieve through his foundation
in the nearest future. Funny enough,
sometimes he went on and on talking till
I interrupted in between conversation so
I can meet up with my timeline.
H
FEEL
I am also very passionate about the
topic in question. This is sometime I
am very willing to fight against
anyday anytime? Because at the end
of the day the younger generation
and generations yet unborn
automatically suffers the menaces
this brings into the system. I am
very willing to design and come up
with more innovative ways to nib
corruption in the bud as I sail
through this great course. I am
very willing to explore all options
(including options that has never
been thought of as I design a
solution(s) to counter this
particular stigma.
3. The Stakeholder
He is a passionate and virile young economist who is
optismistic about proffering (designing) modern day
solutions (and models) to curb the menace of
corruption in the society at large through his company ?
