2. TIP REASON
1. Write the Speech or
presentation on
something you are
interested in and have
knowledge of.
1. If you are not familiar with
the actual topic, or are
uncomfortable speaking
about it, the way you
present your speech will
be dull and lifeless and
the crowd will lose
interest quickly.

3. TIP REASON
1. Memorize your
speech/presentation, but
bring cue cards with you
that have your speech on
it just in case.
1. If you have your
presentation memorized,
you can speak confidently
without worrying what to
say but how loudly you
should project your voice,
your posture, and your
tone of speaking.

4. TIP REASON
1. There is no such thing as
speaking too loud while
giving a public speech
(unless your screaming).
Don’t be afraid to belt it
out, speak slowly and
clearly, and use good
posture.
1. If you speak loudly;
everyone will be able to
hear your facts and story.
Also, people tend to speak
10 times faster when they
are in front of a crowd than
when alone, so if you
sound like your speaking
slowly, your probably
speaking normal speed.
Good posture is attractive
and shows confidence.

5. TIP REASON
1. Don’t picture the audience
in their underwear (or
naked). Instead, pick one
person in the crowd
(preferably the farthest
person from you) and
speak only to them. If
possible pick a couple of
people in the crowd
(again far from you to
ensure good volume) and
speak to them.
1. It’s easier to talk to one
individual person than
talk to a crowd. Also If you
pick the person farthest
from you, it ensures that
you speak loudly and
therefore everyone can
hear you.

6. TIP REASON
1. Before speaking, your mind
will try and psych you out by
telling you how much you
don’t want to give a speech.
Instead, psych your brain by
telling yourself you are
happy to be there.Tell
yourself you want to give a
speech. Even add that into
the introduction of your
speech just so you can hear
yourself say it out loud.
1. If you convince yourself
that you want to do this, it
will be less scary. For ex.
Some people are afraid on
bungee jumping. If they
tell themselves how fun it
will be, then they relax
and they enjoy it.This is a
hard method to
accomplish, especially if
you are shy. Keep trying at
it and you will succeed.
