Born and raised in Venezuela, J Roff-Garcia moved to the city at age 11 after his parents' divorce. He took up hobbies like fishing, soccer, and reading Harry Potter as a kid. Currently, J loves wearing suits and has chosen photography as his career, being inspired by photographer James Nachtwey's work bringing awareness to global issues like war, disasters, and oppression. He plans to study photography at Savannah College of Art & Design.

20. One of my favorite photographers and biggest influences is James Nathcwey. This is mainly because this man has brought to light some of the worst realities of the war, natural disaster, & other major issues our world has faced for the past 20+ years. What he does inspires me to show people how important it is to spread the word on issues. That way we help inform the world, to later find a resolution.
