This PowerPoint will show the trailers I can studied and gained an understand about what my radio trailer will need to be effective in the horror genre.
2. INFORMATION
• Since there are a limited about of radio trailer online
for horror film I have decided to research the
sounds used in video trailers instead incorporate
them into the radio trailer instead.
3. SINISTER
• The Sinister trailer has previews from the final film
which allows the audience to figure out what the
plot of the film is whilst keeping suspense with the
dramatic music.
• The text from the video could also be interprtated
as voice overs in a radio trailer which builds up the
enigma of the film.

4. THE WOMAN IN BLACK
• This trailer sound starts of slowly with children’s toys
and gradually gets faster building up the tension of
the trailer and then suddenly stops at the end
making the audience worry about what is going to
happen. Wind sound effect is present through most
of the trailer also making the audience on edge.
• The voice over of the little girl was in rhyme which
appeals the innocence of her voice against the
dramatic music.

5. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
• The trailer starts off with impact sound effects with
low bass background music, this combination builds
up the enigma to the film up quickly.
• There isn’t much voiceover/text in the trailer since
the previews of the film show what goes on in the
film without revealing the mystery of the characters
and plot.
